2026-2027 Tax Credit Applications

2026–2027 Parental Choice Tax Credit: Everything You Need to Prepare

The application window for the Oklahoma Parental Choice Tax Credit (PCTC) is fast approaching. To ensure our Summit families are positioned for success, we’ve compiled this guide to help you gather your materials before the portal opens on March 16, 2026.

1. Locate Your Student’s EVN

The most critical piece of the application is the Enrollment Verification Number (EVN). This unique ID is generated by the Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC) and is required for every individual student application.

  • Where to find it: The OTC sent these via email from ParentalChoice@tax.ok.gov.

  • What to look for: Search for a message containing your child’s specific name and unique code.

  • Note: If you have multiple children at Summit, you will have a separate EVN for each student. You must submit an individual application for each child.

2. Gather Your 2024 Tax Documents

The PCTC application for the 2026–2027 school year requires your 2024 tax year documents. Having these digital or physical copies ready will significantly speed up the online process once the portal goes live.

3. Important Dates & Deadlines

Because of recent legislation, there is now a formal closing date for applications. Please mark these three milestones on your calendar:

Date Event Details
March 16 @ 9:00 AM   Applications Open    The portal link becomes active at this time.
May 15 @ 9:00 AM   Priority Deadline    For families with a Federal AGI of $150,000 or less.
June 15 @ 11:59 PM   Final Application Close    Strict Deadline. No applications accepted after this time.

Essential Resources

To help you navigate the process, the OTC has provided several step-by-step resources:

What to Expect After Applying

Once you hit submit on the OkTAP portal, please allow up to 6 hours for a confirmation email to arrive. Due to the high volume of applicants, the OTC anticipates longer wait times for specific inquiries, so we highly recommend applying as early as possible.
