Dan Giddens
Superintendent
Mr. Dan Giddens has served as Summit Christian Academy’s superintendent since 2006 and is also a member of the pastoral staff at The Assembly at Broken Arrow. Before joining Summit, Mr. Giddens had a long and successful career with Tulsa Public Schools as a teacher, coach, and administrator. He is a graduate of Northeastern State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Education and a master’s degree in administration.

Dean of Academic Development and Innovation
Mrs. Gradel joined the Summit staff full-time as the Dean of Academic Development and Innovation after serving as a consultant for a year. She brings with her a distinguished 33-year career in public education and has been recognized for her innovative instruction by MIT, Stanford University, The Henry Ford, and the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence. In 2018, Mrs. Gradel was named Oklahoma Teacher of the Year and was a finalist for the 2019 National Teacher of the Year. She is a graduate of West Virginia University, holding a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Physical Education, as well as a master’s degree in education.

Director of Curriculum and Instruction
Dr. Calvin Roso is Director of Curriculum and Instruction and joined Summit Christian Academy in 2025. He has been teaching since 1991. Dr. Roso holds a B.S. in English Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an M.A. in Curriculum & Instruction from Oral Roberts University, an M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language from Azusa Pacific University, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Oral Roberts University. He is certified in English 5-12 and English as a Second Language PK-12. Dr. Roso has been married over 35 years and has two adult children and one grandchild. He and his wife enjoy time with family and reading.

SELC Executive Director | Elementary Principal
Dr. Lori Kelly has served as Summit Christian Academy’s elementary principal since 2019. She is also the Executive Director of Summit's Early Learning Center, where she has been a part of the team since 2017. Dr. Kelly earned her bachelor’s degree in organizational management with a focus on early childhood from Ashford University. She received her master’s degree in education from Northeastern State University and her Ph.D. in instructional leadership and academic curriculum from the University of Oklahoma.

Intermediate Principal
Rosie Ashworth joined our leadership team in 2019 as the Assistant Elementary Principal and now serves as the Intermediate School Principal. She came to Summit after a decade in public education as a mathematics teacher and coach. Mrs. Ashworth is a graduate of Southern Nazarene University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's degree in educational leadership.

High School Principal
Mr. Kevin White has served as the Secondary Principal at Summit Christian Academy since 2014. He joined Summit after 16 years in public education, including nine years as an administrator. Mr. White is a graduate of Southern Nazarene University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in educational leadership.

Athletic Director, Soccer
Coach Marc Langebartels serves as our Director of Athletics and has been a member of our Summit faculty since 2009. He earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Southern Nazarene University. Married for 29 years, Coach Lange is a proud parent of four and grandparent of two. He enjoys soccer, football, golf, and spending time with his family and their dog 1.

Lead Pastor, School Board Chairman
Pastor Ron Woods is the Lead Pastor of our home church, The Assembly at Broken Arrow. He serves as the chairman of Summit's school board, providing leadership for SCA's vision and culture. Pastor Ron is a graduate of Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, and holds a master’s degree in ministerial leadership from Southeastern University.

Executive Pastor / Communications
Pastor Jason Berry serves as the Executive Pastor of The Assembly, where he provides leadership in communications and vision alignment for Summit Early Learning Center and Summit Christian Academy. He holds a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri and ministerial credentials from Berean College. Pastor Berry began his ministry in 1996 while teaching and, in 2000, moved to Broken Arrow to join The Assembly. Over the years, he has served as Children’s Pastor, Media/Technology Pastor, Communications Pastor, and now as Executive Pastor with a focus on school life. He enjoys St. Louis Cardinals baseball, exploring new technology, and cherishes time with his family, especially his granddaughter.

Chandra Overton
Accounting
Chandra Overton serves as Finance Administrator and joined Summit Christian Academy in 2022. She holds a B.S.B.A. in Finance from the University of Tulsa and has experience as a former Internal Auditor and Weekday Preschool Coordinator. Chandra enjoys working in spreadsheets, spending time with her husband, two kids, and their dog, attending her kids' sporting events, gardening, and relaxing on the porch. She also has a driver's license.

Accounting
Mrs. Jessie Cheatham is the bookkeeper for Summit ELC. She joined Summit Christian Academy in 2025. Mrs. Cheatham holds an A.A. in Elementary Education from Broward Community College and a B.A. in Psychology from Oral Roberts University. She is passionate about her husband and two daughters, enjoys family time at the ball field or playing games, loves traveling on overseas mission trips, and is an avid reader and podcast enthusiast.

Registrar
Mrs. Amy Opperud is Executive Assistant to the Superintendent and has been a member of our Summit faculty since 2021. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Cross-cultural Ministries & Bible and a Masters of Management in non-profit organizations. Mrs. Opperud enjoys experiencing the outdoors, being creative with painting and crocheting, and watching classic movies with her husband, Nathanael.

SELC DIrector
Kelsey Pyzalski serves as the Director of Summit Early Learning Center and has been a valued member of our staff since 2005. She began her journey as an assistant teacher, later transitioned into a lead teacher role, and in 2019 was promoted to ELC Director. Mrs. Pyzalski works closely with Dr. Kelly to provide vision and oversight for our growing Early Childhood Education program.
