Tulsa Glassblowing School

Student Reporter: Brennyn Arrowsmith, 5th Grade
Summit elementary enrichment students went to the Tulsa Glassblowing School on November 13th. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was a lot of fun! The staff was friendly and helpful. They explained the science behind glassblowing and made sure that we knew how to be safe. We each got to choose a color and make a glass flower. Some parents even joined in the fun! Then we went to the Gathering Place for lunch. It was windy and cold outside, but we were able to stay warm with hot chocolate and an indoor fireplace. We did have a little time to play, and the best part was going down a HUGE twisty slide with Mrs. Bradley!
