BYOD Computers - Grades 7-12

At Summit Christian Academy, technology is used to support learning, creativity, collaboration, research, and communication. Students in grades 7–12 participate in our Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program and are expected to bring a personal laptop to school each day, fully charged and ready for use.

Our classrooms utilize a variety of digital tools, cloud-based resources, online assessments, and learning platforms throughout the school day. Selecting the right device helps ensure students have a smooth and successful classroom experience.

To ensure compatibility with Summit’s classroom tools, testing platforms, filtering systems, and technology support procedures, students in grades 7–12 must use a supported Windows laptop as their primary school device.

The following devices are not supported as primary school devices:

  • Chromebooks
  • iPads or tablets
  • MacBooks
  • Gaming consoles or handheld devices
  • Devices with less than 8GB RAM
