At Summit Christian Academy, Fine Arts is more than performance or creativity—it is an opportunity for students to discover and develop the gifts God has placed inside them.
Through visual art, music, worship, drama, and creative expression, students grow in confidence, discipline, collaboration, and leadership while learning to use their talents with excellence and purpose.
We believe creativity reflects the nature of our Creator, and we want students to see their gifts as something that can honor God and impact others.
Choir
Summit’s choir program has developed a reputation for musical excellence, strong performance quality, and outstanding musicianship. Our students have consistently earned top honors at OSSAA Choir Contests and are highly respected for their ability to sight-read and perform at a high level.
Choir students regularly participate in:
- OSSAA vocal competitions
- School concerts and performances
- Community events
- Performance travel experiences
Summit choir students have performed in locations including New York, Chicago, Branson, and throughout the local community, representing Summit Christian Academy with excellence both on and off the stage.
Beyond musical skill, students develop discipline, teamwork, confidence, leadership, and a deeper appreciation for the power of music and performance.
Drama
Summit students have opportunities to participate in drama productions, performances, and creative storytelling experiences throughout the school year.
Each year, Summit drama students participate in the Deer Creek Drama Festival, where they have earned multiple awards for both individual and group performances.

Praise & Worship
Summit’s Praise & Worship program gives students the opportunity to lead weekly chapel services through music, vocals, instrumentation, and service planning.
Students serve in a variety of roles, including:
- Vocal leadership
- Instrumental performance
- Worship band participation
- Audio and technical support
- Chapel planning and preparation
The program is designed to help students grow not only in musical ability but also in leadership, responsibility, teamwork, preparation, and spiritual maturity. Students learn the importance of serving others with humility, excellence, and consistency while helping create meaningful chapel experiences for the Summit community.
Visual Arts
Visual art students explore creativity through drawing, painting, design, mixed media, and other artistic experiences.
Students are encouraged to think creatively, develop technical skills, and communicate ideas through artistic expression while growing in appreciation for beauty, craftsmanship, and creativity.
