Meet the Microsoft Suface Laptop Go

The lightweight Surface Laptop Go includes:

  • Intel i5 processor
  • 8GB of RAM
  • A 256GB solid-state hard drive
  • 12.4-inch touch screen
  • Windows 11 (Education edition)

Your student can choose between three colors:

  • Platinum (Silver)
  • Sandstone (Gold/ Pink)
  • Ice Blue (Light Blue)
  • UAG clear cover provided and required for Summit warranty program.

Pricing and Payment Options

Summit does not seek to profit from this program. Our goal is to make it easy for families to purchase a quality laptop, and it helps our teachers as they assist students in class. The Microsoft laptop, UAG case, set up service, and a 24-month warranty is available for $725. The total amount may be paid in full or added to your Summit FACTS account and payable in ten monthly interest-free installments $72.50 during the school year. If your family relocates, you must pay the total balance due before any student records are released.

The Fine Print

Microsoft warranty support is good for 12 months. Summit will add 12 months for 24 months of in-house support. Summit IT will support laptop issues related to regular use - including software and hardware, providing the device remains in the UAG protective shell during the warranty period. A $150 deductible will be charged to repair a cracked or broken screen. Summit will not repair a second broken screen. We will not cover damages that we deem to be caused by misuse or accidents outside the school facilities.

Summit's IT department will manage all devices purchased through this program throughout the two-year warranty period. Laptops will be locked down with an administrator password and restricted to school-related software only. The administrator password will be provided to parents only upon request. However, students should not be allowed to install non-school-related programs without permission from Summit's IT director. This policy aims to keep these laptops free of software that may slow them down or interfere with academic work.

We highly recommend that all students carry their device in a backpack with a dedicated padded pocket for laptops. Investing in a quality backpack will extend the life of your laptop.

The Summit Laptop Purchase Program is an optional program. You may choose to purchase your own Windows 11 device through an online or local retailer, provided they meet the minimum requirements of our BYOD program.  (no Chromebooks or iPads),

Summit provides and requires all students to use our version of Microsoft Office, Malwarebytes antivirus
software, LanSchool, and e-textbooks if applicable. Summit IT does not provide device support for laptops 
purchased outside of our laptop purchase program. If you purchase a laptop elsewhere, we recommend purchasing an extended warranty.
