LIFE AT SUMMIT
Life at Summit Christian Academy is fast-paced, energized, and fun. Because of our small student body, children are able to quickly build friendships with each other and discover the benefits of our low student-to-teacher ratios.
Throughout the year, students participate in special events designed to build community and boost school spirit, such as homecoming, service projects, and student government.
Elementary School Life
Every school morning at 8:15a.m., Summit elementary students assemble in the student center for prayer, pledges, and announcements. Each teacher then leads his or her students to the classroom to begin the day with a Bible lesson.
On Thursday mornings, students begin their day with chapel, a time of worship and learning more about Jesus.
Secondary School Life
Secondary students (grades 7 to 12) begin their school day at 8:30a.m. with prayer and pledges. Throughout the day, students travel to seven 50-minute classes, receiving instruction in five core subjects: math, science, history, English, and Bible. Additionally, students enroll in two elective courses in art, choir, drama, foreign language, or athletics.
Advanced Placement classes are available for those who qualify, and concurrent enrollment at Tulsa Community College or Tulsa Technology Center is another option our students often choose to get a leg up on their life after high school.
Wednesdays, students attend a one-hour chapel in the student center, where they can grow spiritually while enjoying student-led worship.
Chapel Services
All students participate in weekly chapel services designed to support their walk with Christ. Services feature age-appropriate worship, activities, and devotions, and families are always welcome to attend. Students and pastors from The Assembly lead the services.
