Summit girls volleyball finished a fantastic season capturing their 3rd consecutive regional title, the first title in 4A. The Oklahoma Secondary Schools Athletic Association also awarded the Summit Eagles the 4A State Academic Championship. Fourteen of our SCA elementary students competed in the Tulsa Research Kids DreamUp competition. Eight Summit teams conducted space-based research, proposed an experiment, and presented a proposal for judging.  Students were encouraged to dream big and think deeply about humankind’s future in space. Mrs. Alexander’s reading group has been involved in an owl project this week. They started with reading a non-fiction book, Be Wise About Owls. On Friday, October 4, our 4th graders visited Ancient Cherokee Days. While there, students participated in hands-on Cherokee cultural games such as blowgun shooting, stickball playing, marbles, and chunkey.
